TaxPayer Support Associate Internship

Desire some "real world" experience in working with taxes? This is a great opportunity for you to learn about every type of income tax issue and situation that taxpayers may encounter. Our web based application appeals to people across the nation and provides you the opportunity to help with every type of tax situation imaginable. Each day will present a unique challenge and you will find no two days to be the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing customers with assistance in utilizing TaxACT software. This would include helping them to find the information in the program, helping them to identify appropriate data entry points and clarify the questions the program asks and generally helping the taxpayer to maximize the benefit they receive from the program.
  • Help customers understand how the tax rules and regulations have applied to their specific return.
  • Assist taxpayers in obtaining solutions to both general tax questions and also those specific to their situation.
  • Special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Interest in individual income taxes.
  • Completion of a course in individual income taxes.
  • Ability to utilize tax research materials.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to pass both a credit and criminal background check.

Technical Support Representatives

We are currently seeking individuals to join our support center team as Technical Support Representatives for the upcoming tax season. Representatives will answer incoming phone calls and email correspondence from customers with questions related to the technical operations of the TaxACT product line and electronic filing processes. Technical Support will also answer incoming phone calls and email correspondence from customers with an assortment of non-technical support questions, or that need general company information. TaxACT products are promoted on each call.

Many answers to the technical questions asked by TaxACT customers will be retrieved from a database of standard responses and also alternate internal resource materials.

The ideal candidate will be upbeat with great written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and have exceptional attention to detail. Previous technical or help desk based phone and email experience is a plus. The candidate will need to work well in a team environment. Experience with troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues, along with a broad working knowledge of computer operating systems and the Internet is required.

Customer Service Representatives

We are currently seeking individuals to join our TaxACT support center team as Customer Service Representatives for the upcoming tax season. Representatives will answer incoming phone calls and email correspondence from customers with an assortment of support related questions, or that need general company information. Customer Service will also answer incoming phone calls and email from customers with product questions, or that need to place an order. TaxACT products are promoted on each call.

The ideal candidate will be upbeat with excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and have exceptional attention to detail. Previous customer service based phone and email experience is required. The candidate will need to work well in a team environment. Microsoft Windows and basic computer and Internet knowledge is required.
